About Me
Having grown up in Sheffield, I studied at Richmond Drama School and East 15 Acting School, both in London, before getting my Associates Degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. I have worked as an actor and director on both sides of the pond, as well as teaching drama for the last few years, specialising in voice & speech, text analysis and Shakespeare. I am passionate about nurturing young talent, encouraging creativity and building skills that can help as much in Iife as on the stage. I got married in June 2022 and live in Bristol with my wife and our pet goldfish, Bernard.
Tutor Experience
I have been a drama teacher for the last 4 years, first at Sheffield Theatre Arts and then at Stagecoach Bath, teaching children from age 6 – 16 in acting, improv, text analysis, voice and speech, mask work, Shakespeare, audition technique and performance discipline, as well as rehearsing and directing numerous end-of-term productions.I have coached children of various ages in preparation for auditions for drama school, scholarships and film and tv roles. My students have been successful in attaining places at Oxford School of Drama and Westbourne Independent School. I have delivered this tuition both in person and online. I have also taught numerous children for their LAMDA exams, a field in which my students have a 100% success rate - in 2023 all of my students received distinctions for their exams.
