After working in various industries I went to university at the age of 34 then taught in Scotland for 12 years before embarking on international teaching in Bahrain, Malaysia, Spain and finally Peru. I am retiring but need to keep helping physics students to grasp the concepts that will open the doors for their future. I am a keen golfer and guitarist and computer programmer.
I have taught the Scottish national curriculum then International IGCSE and A Level (Edexcel) [Bahrain, Malaysia and Spain] and IB and IGCSE (Cambridge) [Peru]. My students have always been successful because they feel confident to continue to tell me that they don’t understand until I find a way to explain things in a way that they can grasp. Learners need to feel able to say, “I still don’t understand “. I encourage that and in the end we find the key. As a qualified computing teacher I am very competent in using technology to help.
