About Me
I have 24 years of teaching experience and my students have always achieved excellent exam results. I have also been tutoring for six years and have lots of experience marking for the exam boards.
I am a passionate historian. I enjoy travel and visiting historical sites. I have especially enjoyed taking my classes on study trips abroad to Amsterdam, Berlin and Krakow where students can really see history come alive.
Tutor Experience
I am a very experienced history teacher and as a former head of year and head of 6th form I understand how stressful exams can be and I take pride in supporting students to achieve their full potential.
I have taught History for 24 years at GCSE and A level. I am passionate about my subject, and I love to see my students' grow in confidence and develop their enthusiasm for History.
Tutoring is all about being able to understand each students individual needs and ensure that every lesson is itailored specifically to them. I am able to quickly identify gaps in subject knowledge and focus my lessons towards this as well as consolidating exam technique. I have also marked for AQA and Edexcel giving me an excellent insight into the demands of the exam and exactly what an examiner is looking for.
I currently teach Key Stage three, GCSE and A Level students online. All of my lessons are fully resourced with lots of focus on exam technique for GCSE and A Level. At the end of each lesson you will receive a copy of all of the resources used so there is no need to waste any of the lesson time making notes. I also provide revision guides, additional course notes and tips on revision techniques.
As well as preparing you for exams I believe that every lesson should be fun and engaging. Students learn in different ways and I will ensure that my lessons suit your style of learning.
