I am beginning graduate studies on the CDT in Sensor Technology course (MRes + Phd) at the University of Cambridge, commencing October 2020. My current employment is at BT (Martlesham, Suffolk), where I work within the In-Life customer support team, working to improve processes and services across the company.
I hold a Starred First honours degree in Computing Science, and a MSc with Distinction in Advanced Computing Science from the University of East Anglia.
Outside of work, I am a classical singer, and love performing with choirs and choral groups, though that has rather ground to a halt owing to the current situation! I'm also a keen knitter and crocheter, and find it's a great way to unwind (no pun intended!)
I have several years experience teaching seminars and labs as an Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia, during my studies. I am also currently tutoring A level students in game design and programming.
Initially I will work with the student to understand their needs and ambitions, and build a bespoke learning programme around this. My goal is to help students achieve their academic potential, and find new confidence in their own abilities.
I am happy to teach all areas of the GCSE and A Level computer science syllabus, as well as GCSE and AS-Level mathematics.
At undergraduate level, I am able to offer tutoring in a range of modules and fields, including the mathematical principles of computing (number systems, set theory, graphs, logic etc), Artificial Intelligence, Programming in Java and C#, Computational biology, electronics and web design.
