As well as science teaching, I have tutoring experience in both Maths and Science. I have also spent time in industry, predominantly in the fields of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, and I currently work for a Pharmacy Apprenticeship training provider where I train the tutors to teach and oversee the science aspect of the course.
I am a mother of two grown up children with one grandson.
I have spent many years as a youth instructor where I have trained to teach a variety of military and adventurous activities, including, map and compass, first aid, field craft, shooting, mountain biking and expedition training.
I enjoy camping and reading and I am currently trying to learn french.
I have been a teacher in one form or another for most of my life. As a teenager I taught adult basic maths and English as a volunteer at my local community centre. I tutored maths and science all through college and university, and following some time working in industry I qualified as a secondary science teacher specialising in biology and chemistry, I currently work in the private sector training tutors to teach.
I hold a first class degree in biology and chemistry and have taught both to A-level. I have worked in industry in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
