About Me

I am a kind, smily and patient Norwegian who have lived and worked out of London for more than 15 years. When I am not tutoring I regularly walk my cat and play jazz trumpet. Apart from English, I speak Norwegian, Spanish, French and a bit of Basque.

Tutor Experience

Both as a private tutor and as a lecturer, I have an excellent track record in supporting both young and adult learners including disabled learners, evaluating their skills and motivating them to commit to their studies, to improve their performance and to achieve better results.

When teaching and presenting complex policy issues and research, communicating with clarity is an absolute necessity, which I have done extensively in the cross-cultural environment of international Masters Programmes. Training people from very different social and cultural backgrounds is challenging and rewarding, and I have developed very good skills in conveying information and getting feedback in different ways in order to promote common understanding.

As I tutor, I have worked extensively with students suffering from mental health issues. I also have a lot of experience in working with students with dyslexia, aspergers and ADHD.

I have a background in anthropology and worked for more than 10 years as a lecturer, mostly working with students with English as a second language.
