About Me
Hi! My name is Minhaj and I love mentoring. I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge with a Masters degree in Engineering (Meng). I studied at Churchill College and graduated in 2022. I have quite a lot of experience when it comes to tutoring and mentoring students of all age groups in mainly STEM subjects. I have achieved 11As at GCSE and 4 As at A Level (in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry). I also have experience in mentoring Oxbridge applicants for STEM subjects including helping them prepare for their admissions tests and interviews.
Prior to successfully applying to Cambridge from a state school, I did many super curricular activities throughout my academy journey including UKMT maths challenges (achieved GOLD twice) and attending the Isaac Physics Summer School at the University of Cambridge at Corpus Christi College (only 40 students were invited nationally). I have also achieved a Gold CREST award for undertaking research in the field of cheminformatics in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge and I have industrial experience in the field of acoustics engineering as a CAD engineer.
Tutor Experience
Over 5 years experience of tutoring and mentoring Oxbridge applicants, Ivy League applicants and applicants applying to other top universities such as Imperial College London. Many success cases of getting students into Oxbridge and other top universities. I have professional experience working with many professional institutions such as Blue Education and Leading Education.
I am quite a versatile tutor and can cater towards a large age range of students. I have experience in tutoring students from primary school all the way to students doing their A Levels (or equivalent). I also have experience in mentoring students for their university applications in STEM subjects including Oxbridge and Imperial applicants. My primary area of focus for mentoring university applicants would be engineering applicants for Oxbridge. But I am also looking to mentor students in other STEM areas such as physics, maths and computer science since the interviews and admissions test preparation often take a similar journey. I am familiar with all the major UK STEM admissions test including the ESAT, ENGAA, NSAA, MAT, PAT and TMUA (I practised with these myself for my admissions test) so I would be willing to help students prepare for these. Aside from university applications, I am also looking to tutor students from KS3, GCSE and A Level for maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.
