About Me
I have a keen interest in developing and improving students' academic writing skills at University level. I have successfully helped hundreds of students in various disciplines, including medicine, engineering, maths, business and management and social sciences to improve their academic writing when working on their assignments and dissertations. I connect better with students on a 1-2-1 basis as personal mentoring allows students to talk about their academic concerns more comfortably.
Tutor Experience
I have taught and mentored students for different aspects of academic writing in the UK higher education sector for a decade now. Most of these students are international students for whom English is a second language. I actively engage with students and conduct my sessions by first doing a need analysis and then build on their existing knowledge to deliver new skills.
Topic Expertise
My area of expertise is helping students with academic writing and other academic skills such as academic integrity and critical thinking. I have substantial experience in teaching academic writing, study skills and research methods to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students in different disciplines.
