I have always considered myself a bit of a polymath, fascinated from a very young age by a wide range of topics: science, mathematics, languages. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and believe in the value of learning for learning's sake. Indeed, I come from a bilingual family which has given me a taste for learning languages, something I continue to do to this day. I am an avid reader, cinephile, knitter, cook and outdoors enthusiast, spending as much time as I can in wide open spaces. As a father to two very young children, my hobbies - principally hiking and cooking! - have taken a back seat for the moment but I still try to get outdoors as often as I can.
I have 13 years of teaching experience in both English and Australian Schools, including one of the most prestigious and academically-successful schools in the United Kingdom. I have taught students aged 11 to 18 years Biology and Mathematics, preparing many of them for courses such as Medicine, Biomedical Science and Engineering at elite universities including Oxford, Cambridge and Columbia Universities. In addition, I have tutored many dozens of students of all ages and from all educational backgrounds in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and French, helping them to fill gaps in their knowledge, consolidate their understanding as well as practise their skills in preparation for public examinations. Many of these students have progressed to prestigious universities, and now practise as doctors, dentists and teachers themselves! Pedagogically, I combine technical rigour and precision with humour and friendliness. Indeed, the interpersonal rapport between tutor and student is fundamental to the success of any tutoring endeavour. In this spirit, my teaching is based on dialogue and exchange: effective teaching is a two-way process and progress hinges on asking questions!

Mr. William is an amazing biology teacher. He is really amazing at explaining all the content for IB and answering any questions I have. I always look forward to his classes!
Classes with Mr. Will are always very fun and I have learnt so much from him. He is able to explain all biology concepts in great detail and also draws good diagrams to help summarize the ideas. Mr. Will is really an amazing teacher and I'm very happy after every lesson.
