About Me
I am an ambitious, reliable, motivated and hard-working professional teacher with a passion for inspiring students to achieve success in life through my teaching strategies. I takes pride in encouraging students to become the best they can be through positive lesson experiences and development of effective behaviour management. I have acquired extensive experience with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and am always looking to develop my practice.
Prior to teaching, I completed my undergraduate Bachelor with Honours degree(BA/HONs) in Game Design and Production Management before working in the tech industry as an I.T. Consultant for approximately a year. My interests include teaching, reading, video games(allowing myself to relate to students) and basketball.
Tutor Experience
I am currently an in classroom GCSE and A-Level Computer Science teacher of 3 years with industry experience. Prior to this I worked with students aged 11-13 , supporting with sport, basic maths and English. The school I am currently employed at follows the OCR exam board however, I am familiar with the courses which the AQA exam board provide. At the moment, i work with students ages 11 to 18 guiding them through programming in Python (my preferred programming language). I am able to assist with all things relating to the Paper 2 GCSE and A-level examinations which focuses on Algorithms and Programming.
