About Me
After many years of enjoying SouthEast Asia, I left in late 2023 to come to Teesside, the Land of Parmo! I have a broad range of experience helping undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds appreciate "the beauty and joy of computer science", and sharpening their skills with establishing and maintaining the online services that we rely on so much in our daily lives.
I am skilled at developing innovative teaching methods to make complex concepts accessible, setting learning objectives, and tracking for continuous improvement. I am an avid developer of open-source resources, and advocate of research-led teaching. I have a long record of positive feedback from students for competence and approachability.

Tutor Experience
I have over 20 years experience in university teaching, at all levels. Alongside classroom and online teaching, I have supervised successful PhDs in the areas of technology adoption, IoT geolocation, formal methods for security assurance, and applied machine learning, along with a large number of undergraduate final year projects and MSc thesis projects.

I have a wide range of experience across Computer Science and Technology Management. I am well-prepared to help with GCSE and A-Level computer science and information systems topics; I love data analytics and machine learning projects at all levels; I understand what examiners are looking for in dissertations, and I know how to present complex topics in proper academic style.
