About Me
I am a doctor and future Neurologist, with over 3,000 hours of tutoring experience and a background spanning medicine, scientific research and the healthcare industry. Alongside my medical training, I have worked in biotechnology and translational strategy, gaining experience in how scientific knowledge is applied to real-world clinical development. I will soon begin my medical residency in Neurology in Switzerland.
My teaching has primarily focused on Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths across all major I/GCSE boards, as well as A Level Biology and Medicine. I also have extensive experience preparing students for competitive entrance examinations, including the UCAT, BMAT and IMAT, as well as the GMAT and 11+/13+ examinations. Having published books supporting students applying to study Medicine, I have developed a particular interest in helping students navigate competitive academic pathways.
My approach is centred around understanding each student as an individual. Rather than simply working through a syllabus, I identify gaps in knowledge, weaknesses in exam technique and the areas where a student can make the greatest improvement. From there, I develop a structured but flexible approach around their goals, timeframe and learning style.

Topic Expertise
My focus is primarily on the sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths) across all boards (Edexcel, AQA, iGCSE, IB) for GCSE and A Level, however I also tutor a lot of students in an academic mentoring capacity where I advise on how to optimise their learning. Additionally I prepare students for the BMAT, UKCAT, IMAT, as well as 11+ and 13+ entrance exams.

Sophia was absolutely amazing at explaining electromagnetism, especially the motor effect and how loudspeakers work. I had struggled to understand how the magnetic field, current and force all interacted, but she broke everything down into simple steps that finally made it click. I’m am not the type to leave bad reviews so I will remove the one start that my daughter put but to make it straight you did make my daughter cry and when I asked you why you rolled your eyes at me then yes I did shout at you because that was extremely unprofessional. You keep focusing entirely on my
reaction while glossing over what caused it. I came onto the call and calmly asked why my daughter was crying. You rolled your eyes at me, and that is when I raised my voice. I accept that I shouted, but please stop presenting it as though I appeared and began shouting at you for no reason.
