About Me
I am a Health Sciences PhD Student at the University of Warwick. My research is centred around inclusive public involvement in health research and I have a passion for science communication, which has fed into my interest in tutoring. I want to help students reach their full potential and gain an interest in science as they are our future scientists and science communicators!
Tutor Experience
I have 4 years of experience as a private tutor offering 1-to-1 tuition in the sciences. Given my academic background, in biology and chemistry, I have provided both GCSE and A-level tuition in these sciences to pupils from Year 9 to Year 13. I have also provided GCSE tuition in physics to pupils in Years 9-11.
I assist pupils with revising subject content as well learning new subject content that they may have missed or have not yet covered in school. I also aim to aid my tutees with skills and resources for their revision in science and beyond. This includes planning and co-creating revision schedules, producing revision aids (e.g. flash cards) and working through practice questions.
Flexibility is the most important aspect of my approach as I recognise every child is different and the big advantage of 1-to-1 tuition is having a tailored approach in order to help students reach their full potential.
