I am passionate about chemistry and science more broadly, enabling me to take challenging concepts and break them down in a way the student is able to comprehend, using past paper questions to test understanding.
During my PhD I have been heavily involved in small group (one or two students) teaching, and have a proven track record of helping students achieve top marks.
In addition to undergraduate teaching, I'm familiar with the OCR and AQA specifications for A-level biology and chemistry, having previously tutored students for these courses.
I trained as an NCO in the air cadets, I taught cadets for 2 years in Croydon. I frequently help out at access events both at 6th form and Oxford University and I am always keen for students to apply themselves in thinking scientifically about the world.
