First up, I enjoy the subjects I tutor immensely and I feel this is one of the most important qualities in a good tutor. In addition, I am friendly and confident and have experience of communicating with others in a teaching environment. Coupled with my enthusiasm for the subjects, this will make for a productive and enjoyable learning environment for students. I have extensive tutoring experience, particularly at GCSE and A-levels and have been working with some students for multiple years. Beyond this, I have been asked by my school to return after my first year of university to regularly help prospective Oxbridge students with their personal statements and applications and was an advisor on interview technique.
My approach to tutoring is get the student interested in the subject they are studying, as learning about something you're interested in makes all the content more accessible.
All the content taught in the lesson will be from your school's exam board. The lessons will be based on the content you need for your exams, as well as developing strategies and skills to answer exam questions.

Occasional - I'm an adult-learner currently studying Level 3 Diploma in Environmental Science (the syllabus is the same as AS and A Level).
At the moment I have a tutor for my course but they only offer support over email and I'm struggling with the length of time it takes for them to reply, as it's much harder trying to teach yourself the course material rather than in a classroom.

I am currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester.
