Hi, I’m a UK-qualified Science teacher with over 10 years of experience, including time as a Head of Department and international teaching in the UAE. I offer friendly, clear, and supportive tutoring across all sciences; Biology, Chemistry and Physics at both GCSE and KS3 level. I’ve worked with students of all abilities, including EAL and SEN learners, and always adapt my teaching to suit each individual. If your child needs a patient and experienced tutor who can explain things clearly and boost their confidence, I’d love to help.

I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a strong commitment to fostering student-centred learning. My background includes a Master of Science in Environmental Science, a PGCE in Secondary Science with a focus on EAL and SEN practices, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. This interdisciplinary foundation has shaped a well-rounded and reflective approach to teaching.
My teaching philosophy centres on empowering students to take ownership of their learning. I aim to make lessons engaging, accessible, and rooted in real-world relevance, encouraging students to think critically and build lasting confidence in their abilities.
Beyond the classroom, I’m passionate about environmental sustainability and actively seek ways to promote awareness and conservation, whether through my work, travel, or community initiatives. I enjoy bringing this passion into my teaching, helping young people connect science with the world around them in meaningful ways.
My teaching journey spans both the UK and the UAE, where I’ve specialised in secondary science education with a strong emphasis on building engaging, student-centred learning environments.
As Head of Science and Biology Teacher in the UAE, I taught KS3 to KS5 (high school) students in both classroom and online settings. Alongside teaching, I led department planning, designed cross-curricular resources, delivered CPD workshops, and used data to track progress and improve outcomes. I worked closely with staff and students to build a collaborative, inclusive culture that supported both academic performance and confidence.
Earlier in my career, I taught English as a Foreign Language in Italy and Thailand. In Thailand, I also taught Maths and Science and supported students preparing for TOEFL exams. These international roles helped shape my adaptable, culturally aware approach to teaching.
In every setting, I’ve focused on making learning accessible, purposeful, and motivating. I enjoy developing lessons that spark curiosity, encourage participation, and help students feel supported and capable in their learning.

Ms. Rebecca was always patient, kind, always ready to help us and encouraged us to do our best.
Ms Rebecca was very supportive and always made sure we understood the lesson, even if we were struggling. She was patient, explained things clearly, and made the class feel comfortable during a difficult time like COVID-19. She also encouraged us to stay curious and ask questions. Thank you Miss Rebecca
When Ms Rebecca teaches me, it is very easy to take in knowledge and remember what she talked about.
