About Me
Hello, I am Dr. Ibrahim Khot. I am a University Lecturer, Medical Scientist and Researcher at the University of Leeds (UK). My background is in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. I have a strong passion for teaching and can teach all aspects of Science and Maths from Primary School all the way up to University level.
I have a diverse approach to teaching and subscribe to different schools of teaching which allows me to adapt to the learning needs of all my students. I give care and attention to all my students and will work with you to achieve your goals.
Outside of teaching, I am married to my beautiful wife, and we love cooking delicious dishes together.
Tutor Experience
I have been teaching for 10 years at the University of Leeds as an academic, lecturing and teaching biology, chemistry, bioengineering and medicine at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I also supervise research students in their projects. who have gone on to receive First Class and Distinction degrees. I receive constant positive feedback from all my students and I have a track record in helping students attain their goals.
I have also applied this to successfully tutoring students for the past 10 years. I have tutored students from secondary education to university postgraduate levels, on all subjects in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
My teaching method is truly student-centered using a combined and blended approach of inquiry-based learning, problem-based Learning, project-based and collaborative learning.

Dr. Ibrahim Khot is a wonderful tutor who taught me Chapter 7: Neurotransmitters in Essential Neuroscience. His teaching methods are engaging, and I found this really useful. His slides were easy to follow, plus his understanding really helped me grasp a difficult topic, neurotransmitters. I felt comfortable asking questions to understand the subject matter better.
