I have been teaching Economics, Statistics and Econometrics since I was in college. After leaving college, I became a full-time professional tutor. I have worked with students who were complete beginners, as well as those who were facing challenges in mastering advanced topics.
I completely understand the initial struggle in decoding the concepts and formulas. I am adept in breaking down these concepts so that students can understand them. I use simple examples so that students can make sense of these topics. I don't encourage memorization and simply recalling the formulas, instead, I focus on the 'why' and 'how'.
I understand that every student has a different way of understanding things. Some students understand the concepts when explained through analogies, others when shown mathematical foundation behind them. I modify my teaching methodology depending on what the student is comfortable with.

Statistics job with Edward:
Over 2 hrs/week - Need help with following topics:
1: random samples and estimators
2: expected value and variance estimation
3: parameter estimation
4: confidence intervals
5: hypothesis testing
6: linear regression
Shubh's last review in Statistics from Yingzhi: Shubh's lesson is not only informative but also engaging, he taught me how to interpret the concept rather than spoon-fitting me. I have a much deeper understanding of the topic now and I am able to answer the questions on my own. Many thanks for Shubh, very appreciated.
My earliest stint with teaching dates back more than a decade when I helped my mother take private tuition at home. Fast forward to 2017 when I was conducting workshops in my MBA school to help students prepare for their semester exams (in subjects such as Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, etc.). In order for me to be able to explain the subject matter, I need not just be well read. I need to be well spoken as well. I am a voracious reader and a passionate public speaker and have represented my school and college at the national level in different competitions. Brewing my interest in the incessant world of finance, I cleared my CFA Level 1 and 2 and FRM Level 1 exams in the very first attempt and am currently awaiting my FRM charter and preparing for my CFA Level 3 exams simultaneously. I have been a subject matter expert reviewer (Finance) for Study.com wherein I reviewed 2500 questions in a span of 6 months (of which 2499 reviews were correct). Of late, I have been a finance tutor on Chegg USA and have completed 200 odd lessons with a 100% success rate.

I have been lecturing research methodology and statistics for the past 25 years, I have also assisted hundreds of students with the statistical analyses for their dissertations. I have been doing SPSS training from beginner to advanced levels for 22 years.
Liezel's last completed Statistics job with Jane: Over 2 hrs/week - I am a undergraduate Psychology student. I am writing my dissertation and need help with knowing what analysis to run in SPSS for my research study. I also need help with writing and interpreting my results section for my dissertation.

Singh's last completed Statistics job with Hannah: 1-2 hrs/week - I am a sociology masters student and have a stats exam in a few weeks. I would like to go through some past papers. LSE does not provide mark schemes or answers for past papers so I have no clue if the answers I think I know how to answer are right or not. I am not expecting to get a first or a high 2:1, stats is not my strong point! However I would like to get a 2:1 if possible. Due to covid my exam is open book. I have uploaded the most recent past paper so you can see the type of thing I am doing.
Singh's last review in Statistics from Hannah: Singh has been endlessly helpful and patient! He tailored each lesson to my learning requirements, and in a very short time frame. He explained tricky concepts using simple and engaging examples that was easy for me to comprehend. Overall a great tutor, I highly recommend.
I have 8 years of on-ground teaching experience. Since last two years, I have teaching Economics, Statistics and Econometrics online.

Statistics job with Herbert:
Occasional - Need help Questions regarding topics such as: hypotheses testing, random variables, expected values,...
First lesson would be on Monday morning
Neha's last review in Statistics from Herbert: By far the best tutor i have ever had. Wish I could have her instead of my actual professor. She explains things in a very simple way, and has a very good teaching style. I strongly recommend her.
I have been tutoring various Economics/Finance/Mathematics/Statistics courses at many levels since 2006. I am also very proficient in R and MATLAB, as I often use them for my research projects. I have been living in Houston since 2006 when I started my PhD studies at Rice University. I initially tutored many Rice undergraduate students, helped them mainly with Calculus and Economics courses. I also tutored middle and high school students, helped them mainly with math classes. Lately, I have been helping MBA students to be successful in their Economics, Statistics and Analytics classes that also involve extensive use of R. Teaching is a passion for me, therefore I continue tutoring along with teaching at the university.

I have a PhD in Econometrics/ STATA and more than 15 years tutoring experience and classroom teaching in statistics/econometrics with college and graduate students. I am passionate about helping my students make a difference in statistical and econometrics learning, for instance understand concept quickly, test hypotheses, run regression, work through multiple examples and achieve the best results. In addition, with more than 15 years of tutoring and teaching experience in STATA, R, SAS, Tableau, econometrics/statistics with people in different disciplines, from college students to researchers/analysts in market research, economics, finance, business, etc. I have helped people analyzed complex dataset, bring out useful insights, run econometric regression to provide supportive and robust statistical results for their final thesis, dissertation or projects.
Victoria's last completed
Statistics job with Matthew:
Over 2 hrs/week - Hi, I am looking to begin regular lessons with a statistics/econometrics tutor, with the hopes of studying methods of regression (undergraduate/postgrad level)
I already have an understanding of standard OLS regression (cross sectional and some panel data) and am now looking to get some practice applying the theory, as well as to tackle the monster that is time series regression.
My schedule is flexible, and am looking to start as soon as possible.
Victoria's last review in Statistics from Matthew: Econometrics tutoring Victoria clearly knows a lot. However, her incapacity to adapt to the student's needs, nor to listen to requests, has been for me a real breaking point. I hope to see improvement on this point.
I have the experience, knowledge, passion and tools to help students master Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, and its applications (to Engineering, and Business). I believe that a good tutor combines teaching and mentoring in a way that encourages students to use their own thinking and ability, set their own ‘agenda’, ask questions and then works with them to improve their self- confidence and ability in the subject.
