My earliest stint with teaching dates back more than a decade when I helped my mother take private tuition at home. Fast forward to 2017 when I was conducting workshops in my MBA school to help students prepare for their semester exams (in subjects such as Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, etc.). In order for me to be able to explain the subject matter, I need not just be well read. I need to be well spoken as well. I am a voracious reader and a passionate public speaker and have represented my school and college at the national level in different competitions. Brewing my interest in the incessant world of finance, I cleared my CFA Level 1 and 2 and FRM Level 1 exams in the very first attempt and am currently awaiting my FRM charter and preparing for my CFA Level 3 exams simultaneously. I have been a subject matter expert reviewer (Finance) for Study.com wherein I reviewed 2500 questions in a span of 6 months (of which 2499 reviews were correct). Of late, I have been a finance tutor on Chegg USA and have completed 200 odd lessons with a 100% success rate.
I have been lecturing research methodology and statistics for the past 25 years, I have also assisted hundreds of students with the statistical analyses for their dissertations. I have been doing SPSS training from beginner to advanced levels for 22 years.

I have been teaching Economics, Statistics and Econometrics since I was in college. After leaving college, I became a full-time professional tutor. I have worked with students who were complete beginners, as well as those who were facing challenges in mastering advanced topics.
I completely understand the initial struggle in decoding the concepts and formulas. I am adept in breaking down these concepts so that students can understand them. I use simple examples so that students can make sense of these topics. I don't encourage memorization and simply recalling the formulas, instead, I focus on the 'why' and 'how'.
I understand that every student has a different way of understanding things. Some students understand the concepts when explained through analogies, others when shown mathematical foundation behind them. I modify my teaching methodology depending on what the student is comfortable with.
I have tutored A-level, Undergraduate and Masters Physics and Maths for three years for pupils aiming for levels from C-A* (and 1st Class Honours), as well as Oxbridge entrance exams and interview practice.
Academically, I graduated top in my year from Cambridge with a Masters' in Astrophysics, and am now a PhD candidate in Princeton, following a one-year research placement at Harvard.
During 2018, Marco has been academic lecturer at the University of Pavia, Italy, teaching the course Quantitative Finance with R, which is a special section of the MSc in Finance course Quantitative Finance. Moreover, during the previous academic year, he was tutor and teaching assistant for the course Econometrics (3rd year BSc in Economics) at the University of Genova, Italy.

Holding a BSc and two MSc, Marco definitely gained expertise in structuring dissertations in Statistics, Econometrics and Financial Econometrics (subjects of his three dissertations). I worked as a TA at the University of California and worked at different universities in Turkey (Bilgi, 29 Mayis, Galatarasaray universities). Hence I have experience in teaching. While teaching, I give examples from daily life and make students think about these which makes learning process more participating.
I have been working as a maths tutor since 2011 and online exclusively since 2015, with over 6000 hours of experience. During this period, I have successfully assisted students studying for their GCSE and IB/A-levels all the way up to university modules and exams. Lastly, in my lessons, I put a lot of emphasis on the background knowledge of every topic and method - dry memorising is of no use. This has proved valuable for students in tackling the challenging and 'unseen' questions in the exams. What is more, exams aside, analytic skills accompany students throughout their studies in various areas.
I have been teaching & tutoring Psychology, Research Methods & Academic writing (essays and reports) for over 7 years now to students of all ages whether mature students at undergraduate level & masters level; part time & full time students or seminar based and 1-1. This includes the joint UCL-Birkbeck Masters course for Critical Analysis which is a high level, rigorous module that develops the student's understanding in how to critique journal articles, how to remedy their shortcomings and writing future research or research proposals. I have also taught academic writing workshops, general foundations and was an honorary research fellow after graduating which led to the publication of my undergraduate dissertation.
Having trained as an outstanding A-level Psychology teacher with UCL (IOE) I can offer in depth exam technique for the new linear specification as I have worked closely with examiners & key authors of textbooks. I also offer assistance for writing structure, exam technique across degree and A-level.
I hold an MSc and a Ph.D in computer science from Cardiff University. I have worked as a post doctoral research associate in the computer science department of UCL. I have years of hands on industry experience and a few years experience in teaching undergraduate/postgraduate students A Levels and GCSEs.
