I am an English Literature graduate from Oxford University. I am passionate about educating young people and ensuring they reach their highest potential. To date I have worked as a private tutor, mentor, workshop facilitator and coach. As a private tutor I have taught English at GCSE and A-Level and have prepared Ox-bridge candidates, most of whom have been offered a place at Oxford or Cambridge. I have worked with Eton and Mactrac Digital Education to deliver the Eton X language programme, specialising in leadership and management skills for young students. In this role I have also interviewed and prepared prospective tutors, ensuring that tutors deliver the best in digital education. I continue to find new ways to encourage students to perform as their most confident selves when faced with an academic challenge or when trying to reach a specified goal, such as entry into a desired college or university. I have a body of experience as a workshop facilitator, including using creative writing and drama to help unlock student’s potential. I do this work on a voluntary basis and have used it to help foster confidence and initiative in young people and adults. My focus is goal orientated whilst maintaining a commitment to a highly individualised approach. This is powerful because the student is met on both an educational and personal level, providing an individual , allowing and em...

1-2 hrs/week - looking for a tutor for my son Nuri in Further Maths AS level
Nuri has just started year 13 in JCOSS School in Barnet and is studying Maths Physics Chemistry and Biology. He is predicted 4A*s. He is applying to Cambridge for physical natural sciences and to other universities for Physics.
Given his focus on Physics, he has decided at this quite late stage to drop Biology and take Further Maths AS level at the same time as his other Alevels in order to strengthen his application. He is self teaching the Further Maths with a bit of help from school but they cannot give him full support.
We are looking for a tutor in Further Maths AS level please, between now and the exams next summer.
Further anyone who can also review a Phyiscs personal statement and interview practise (for Cambridge) would also be very helpful
I have taught everything from music theory to English as far afield as New York and Madagascar, in classrooms, 1-to-1 and online. I have a Congratulatory First in Modern Languages from Oxford and have been tutoring a range of subjects for the last 9 years. I also have experience of living, working and studying in both France and Germany. Although my style of teaching is friendly and laid-back, I take immense pleasure from academic achievement and from inspiring others to achieve their academic goals.
Sasha's last completed Oxbridge Entrance job with Lucy: Occasional - Oxbridge interview practice
My (bilingual) pre-university education consisted of 13 different subjects, which I all passed. My main interest lies with history, geography, and languages, but I can assist you with maths and sciences as well. As I graduated from the University of Oxford with an MSc in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition, I am very experienced in teaching you how to learn languages and how to develop a 'feel for language'. Moreover, I am a certified teacher and have taught over 500 students in various subjects, both in groups, as well as one-on-one.
I look forward to helping you with your subjects!
Vicky's last completed Oxbridge Entrance job with Bella: Intensive - I have ADHD which makes writing PS very challenging.
Firstly I have a strong academic background and professional background. I achieved firsts every year of my BA in Social & Political Sciences at Christ's College, Cambridge (2010). Followed by distinctions in each of my International Relations M.Phil exams & thesis (2011).
During my M.Phil I accepted an offer to train at a top City law firm (Herbert Smith Freehills LLP). I received distinctions in my Graduate Diploma in Law and all of my accelerated Legal Practice Course exams at BPP Law School (2011-2013). Practising corporate law for 3 and a half years I received high appraisals for my work both as a trainee and then associate (2013-2016). I was trusted to represent the firm by going on two client secondments (EDF Energy and the UK Civil Service) for a total of 14 months, receiving top feedback.
Throughout this busy career I always maintained an interest in, and made time for, helping students achieve their potential. At Christ's I informally supervised younger SPS students (2008-2011). I also coxed a rowing crew, helping to motivate and instruct them, having rowed for three years myself (2008-2011). While working at HSF I was highly active in graduate recruitment - attending universities/workshops to assess students, and volunteering to buddy with interns to make them feel welcome (2013-2016). I gave mock Oxbridge interviews at St. Philomena's Girls School ...

I have tutored many students from Primary School level through to Cambridge undergraduates - including preparation for GCSEs, A Levels, STEP, UKMT Maths Challenges and private school entrance exams. My experience with a wide range of ages and abilities (as well as other challenges such as a blind GCSE maths student), have given me a well rounded ability to approach problems from the correct direction for the student, as well as the depth of understanding to adapt to a student's preferred methods.
Many of my tutees have gone on to be very successful in their Mathematics, including 100% scores in UKMT Maths Challenges, and scholarships to high profile schools.
George's last completed Oxbridge Entrance job with Genevieve : Intensive - Need support with Oxbridge Application especially with personal statement, entrance examination and interview.
I love tutoring. That's why I'm a supervisor in Physiology for first year medical students at Jesus College, Cambridge. I've also done 2 interview preparation days in the past year; one in Oxford with Ivy Russell Education, the other with Oxbridge Academy Courses. In terms of my academic credentials I got a first in all three of my undergraduate years, and an above average result in my fourth year (there are no "firsts" at clinical school). I got 6 A*s at A level (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and General Studies).
Emma's last completed Oxbridge Entrance job with Swarna : Occasional - Got an interview letter from Cambridge medical school. The interview is on 21st November at IIT Bombay. Wish to have a mock interview and guidance from an Oxbridge doctor.
Emma's last review in Oxbridge Entrance from Swarna : 1 hour paid class I accidentally wrote my comments about her class under her trail class. My feelings towards her class are as I mentioned before.. thought provoking , engouraging and confidence boosting . Never knew how the hour flew by.

Intensive - I am currently writing my PGCE application for secondary education. I would like the tutor to help me make the statement section of the application as strong as possible. It is only one page on word/or 47 lines.
Attached below is my progress so far. However, I believe I need guidance on the writing style they are looking for.
I graduated from Cambridge last year, and wrote more than 50 essays over my time, and read even more books! I have learnt the hard way how to write a good essay, and how to read efficiently.
I miss studying and learning new things, but tutoring helps me to keep this up!
Because I have graduated I have more time for you!
I have taught a variety of adults and children from a wide range of backgrounds. I am currently running creative writing workshops for homeless, migrant, and LGBT+ groups in Cambridge, which has given me a huge variety of communication skills, with people both older and younger than myself. After teaching English in South Korea for a month last summer, there is no teaching challenge too big. I have learnt how to be clear and precise from working with people with English as a second language. I have taught sailing for 10 years at my sailing club. This requires teaching young people and adults complex pieces of theory, and most importantly, making these interesting to learn.
