She's the best, I highly recommend her :)

First impressions with Tutor Elaine McCann made me instantly at ease. Whilst going through previous work, she was very interactive and gave me very constructive feedback and enhanced my knowledge. I am looking forward to being taught by her and improving my English literature and 'likeability' of English literature. Mrs J

Ms Elaine is an amazing tutor. Her passion for what she does helps motivate me and I can see many improvements in my analysis skills thanks to her teaching style. Ms Elaine's feedback is incredibly detailed , professional, helpful and precise. She never hesitates to go the extra mile to help her students and is so enthusiastic about what she does- which is reflected in her lessons. I'm so glad i chose her to be my tutor because I don't know where I would be with my english assessment without her. I feel as though i am in safe hands in terms of bettering my english grades with her. Looking forward to more lessons, she is a lovely person :) Julianna

I really enjoyed all my classes, the tutor is very dynamic and kind. Masa

We have engaged lots of tutors before and I don't usually get round to leaving feedback, but Elaine was exceptional. My teen has been out of school for the last two years with school trauma and has struggled to engage. Elaine got them talking on a stimulating and interest-appropriate topic straight away and several hours later they were still buzzing and saying they wished the class had gone on longer because they still had more they wanted to say. All the content was relevant to text analysis and use of language but so interesting my child is itching to come back for more and actually asked for two lessons next week. I'm completely blow away! Rebecca

I took the English Literature course, ENG3U. Elaine has helped me a lot when I struggled with my essays, presentations and much more. My knowledge and understanding of the course improved with each lesson. I am very thankful to her for this. - Max

I came to SPIRES because I needed help writing my first assignment at the MA level. English is not my first language, so the writing process was for me challenging and overwhelming. But then I found Elaine, which offered me daily help with not only the writing but also a space to reflect and develop my critical thinking. I am really grateful for her mentoring; she has been my source of motivation and inspiration. She constantly encouraged me to complete my essay when I thought I couldn’t do it. Elaine’s passion and expertise make her the perfect tutor. - Susanna (Masters in Education)

Thank you Miss- you really got me. When Miss McCann taught me we did lots of fun work. I did find the IB difficult but Miss helped me with my essay work and my exam skills . I got a great result and now am at the university in America which was my first choice. I enjoyed the individual creative tasks the most. It really made the lesson more enjoyable. I've enjoyed writing paragraphs and analysing the novel. - Yiğit S.

Miss McCann is an exceptionally talented teacher. Her explanations are always very clear and she is very good at engaging with students. I always felt very satisfied and pleased with her teaching. Thanks to her hard work, dedication and excellent teaching skills I was able to obtain full marks in my English exams. - Federico

Elaine is a very good, professional teacher. she is very caring, she has a passion for her work- Mario

Ms McCann was not only my tutor last year, but she was also my mentor. She is one of the few teachers that I am still in touch with. She has the perfect skill of teachşng with different methods and techniques. Most importantly she has a high level of patience and she can empathize when one of her students don't understand sometime. Karla
