About Me

I am currently doing a PhD in Plasma Physics, however I have always enjoyed all (ok, maybe most) areas of physics and mathematics, having done almost 30 courses on these subjects over my degree. I came to Oxford in 2013 to start my undergraduate degree and stayed here to do a PhD.

I found the school exams and especially University admission process (personal statements, tests and interviews) to be a stressful period and am glad I had people around to help me prepare for it. Therefore I would be very happy to help others with getting through these tasks.

I really enjoy teaching others and believe that good communication between the teacher and student is necessary for student to improve in any subject.

Tutor Experience

I have a lot of experience with undergraduate admissions tests and interviews. In 2017, 2018, 2022 I was an interviewer for Physics in Oxford. I was also a PAT marker (undergraduate physics admission test for Oxford) in 2017, 2018, 2020. Therefore I know how best to prepare for the interview and the admissions tests.

I am an enthusiastic and a reassuring tutor. I think the fear of asking a question can be a major hindrance to students’ progress, so I do my best to make sure students feel comfortable in the classes to express their ideas and tell me whenever anything is unclear.

Having completed a degree in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics, I am confident in teaching any topics from Physics/Engineering/Mathematics to school students as well as helping them prepare for university admission tests/interviews in these areas.

I have experience teaching school students remotely. In 2021-2023 I was a tutor with COMPOS, an Oxford outreach initiative. I taught Year 12/13 students A-level topics in Physics and Mathematics. I gave weekly classes to a group of 1-6 students remotely and marked up to 22 assignments from each student.

Since 2017 I have also been a tutor or a teaching assistant for a variety of Oxford University courses, from first year courses in electromagnetism and mechanics, to graduate courses in condensed matter and plasma physics.
