Please let me know if you will be able to help.
Lindsay's last review in Further Mathematics from Natalie: The 2nd chapter of core pure year 2 - Maclaurin series and series expansions of compound functions. Very helpful, clear explanations of questions and laid out solutions in a very organised way that made it easy to spot any mistakes I had made.

Further Mathematics job with Kannan:
Over 2 hrs/week - Dear Dr Laurence,
Would it be possible to get 3 hours of tuition for the MAT per week until the exam which is on the 30th of October 2019? And after that Further Mathematics and Physics for 2 hours a week until the 2020 exams.
My current attainment of grades is A* in A level Mathematics and I narrowly missed the A in Physics (AQA) and Further Mathematics (Edexcel) by 3-6% and 7A*s 4As at GCSE. I have extenuating circumstances, so I would like to retake my A levels and apply to Oxford for Computer Science.
I have a graphics tablet to share my working also.
Laurence's last review in Further Mathematics from Kannan: Excellent tutor. Highly qualified in academia and teaching.
I have vast experience of teaching mathematics and further mathematics to A Level, having taught in three different sixth form colleges for a total of 25 years. I thrive when working on maths with learners; it's a subject I love, and the question of how best to communicate it is one that fascinates me. I'm well-qualified; my first degree at Cambridge University (where I won a scholarship) was in Mathematics and Education, and I have an MSc in Mathematical Research from the University of East Anglia. I also have a Cert. Ed. from Cambridge University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Professional Studies in Education from the Open University. I'm a keen member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, and I'm constantly trying to improve my teaching in discussion with others.
Jonny's last completed Further Mathematics job with Chengbi: Over 2 hrs/week - I'm looking for a tutor who has experience to teach Oxford MAT entry exam. My daughter will take the test in the end of October. She'll need to take questions 1,2,5,6,7. She found it's really difficult. I'd like to have more than 2 hours each week as the time is tight. Please contact me if you can help. Thanks. Julia
Jonny's last review in Further Mathematics from Gill: Free trial. Very helpful, thank you
I have worked for Spires for 5 years and have considerable experience tutoring young adults. In my teenage years, I coached children's rugby and tutored voluntarily. When I joined Oxford University in 2014 I began to tutor professionally.
I stand out as an A-Level tutor due to my experience at identifying how young adults think and learn - especially when they are confused or distressed - and tailoring my approach accordingly. My aim is to instil calmness and to build confidence by getting to know my students and addressing their underlying learning issues. This helps them quickly develop a foundation upon which they can independently build a deep and durable understanding.
Miscommunication can often be a substantial learning barrier with Maths and Science, and not everyone clicks with their teacher. This is where I would love to provide a helping hand.

Intensive - I have 9A*s and 3 9s at gcse. I would like study economics at Cambridge. I will need A*A at least in maths and further maths.
I have just completed my lower sixth form. I do not like the Harkness approach to teaching which my school adopts. I would like to be directly taught all the concepts and techniques.
I would like to have tuition in an intensive week long burst this summer if possible to consolidate my lower sixth learning in;
I would like an experienced tutor who has a track record of helping student secure Alevel A*s and getting into oxbridge
I believe that a good tutor combines teaching and mentoring in a way that encourages students to use their own thinking and ability, set their own ‘agenda’, ask questions and then works with them to improve their self- confidence and ability in the subject.
I have degrees in Mathematics, Statistics and Teaching, and have taught Mathematics and Statistics at Advanced, Foundation and University levels to a variety of students.
I teach A-level Maths and Statistics at school and also tutor students studying for AS, A2, IB exams under various boards (OCR, CIE, Edexcel, AQA, MAT/STEP, GRE). Topics covered have been in Core Maths, Further Maths and Statistics.
I have taught courses in Maths and Statistics at Universities. Also I have tutored University level students on topics covering Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Quantitative Methods in Business, Actuarial Maths, Financial mathematics.
Virender's last completed Further Mathematics job with Maurice: Over 2 hrs/week - I am Bar's father. we are looking for a private online tutor for Math and further math A-Level, second year. What's important for us is not so much the tutor's degree and knowledge in math (as long as he/she have the min required) but his/her experience as an A Level teacher and how familiar he/she is with the curriculum and how to teach to reach the goals. Practical teaching and the ability to assess Bar gaps and difficulties with good strategy to fill the gaps.
Virender's last review in Further Mathematics from Zara: Further Maths - Zara to advise Thank you! Very useful and helped me understand very clearly
I have tutored many students from Primary School level through to Cambridge undergraduates - including preparation for GCSEs, A Levels, STEP, UKMT Maths Challenges and private school entrance exams. My experience with a wide range of ages and abilities (as well as other challenges such as a blind GCSE maths student), have given me a well rounded ability to approach problems from the correct direction for the student, as well as the depth of understanding to adapt to a student's preferred methods.
Many of my tutees have gone on to be very successful in their Mathematics, including 100% scores in UKMT Maths Challenges, and scholarships to high profile schools.
George's last completed Further Mathematics job with Holly: 1-2 hrs/week - I want to apply for maths at Oxford this year. In year 12 I completed the A level maths syllabus and we are now going onto further maths this year. Some help with further maths content (polar coordinates in particular at the moment) and MAT prep would be hugely appreciated
I’ve been working in universities and colleges for 15 years and have over 2 years experience of private teaching (1000+ hours). I’m an expert in linear algebra and elements of probability theory and have a range of experience teaching optimisation theory (including game theory), advanced calculus and complex analysis. I’ve delivered private lectures to A-level, IB maths students and undergraduates from prestigious UK universities. I teach students to learn the crucial concepts of maths more easily through concrete, clear examples. During my tutoring sessions I always reveal connections between different areas of mathematics, which appear highly non-obvious at first. This helps my students to obtain a deeper understanding of the curriculum. I always tailor sessions to the needs and requirements of my students and the main focus is on the practical application of the theorems.

I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.
I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.
What makes me a good tutor is my ability to break down a subject and cover it in a particular order so that a student who might not have a good understanding can understand how to progress through the topics. It doesn't hurt that I have a sense of humour and make my lessons actually fun and enjoyable.
