Matthew $65/hr

PhD in Nuclear Energy - Imperial College London

I have over 1000 hours' experience of private tutoring for a wide range of exams from GCSE English to University Physics. I now specialise in US standardised tests such as the SAT, ACT, and SAT Maths and Physics subject tests, and have experience leading courses at top schools including Harrow, Charterhouse, Southbank, and King's Canterbury. I also have experience leading courses in Maths and Physics A-level.

Matthew's last completed Admissions SAT job with Se: Over 2 hrs/week - I am looking for a tutor who can help my daughter with her SAT Physics subject test(scheduled on 6 June 2020). She is on her final GCSE year and will not take A-level Physics when the autumn term starts in September 2020. There are still some materials in SAT physics test that are not leant in GCSE course, so I would like to have a tutor who is familiar with SAT and will know what topics my daughter need to learn and help her to get on the test.
Many thanks

Matthew $55-65/hr

Doctorate of Philosophy - University of East Anglia, School of Education and Lifelong Learning

I have tutored numerous students towards helping them achieve their ideal exam score. I take a kind and caring approach to tutoring that allow my students to wonder about the question and tricks to solve it. The goal is to make them enjoy mathematics and improve exam scores at the same time.

Matthew's last completed Admissions SAT job with Yasmin: 1-2 hrs/week - Hello, I am a 16 year old student trying to get my SAT done by the end of 2021. I would really need help, especially in Maths as it is an area where I am incredibly weak in. Thank you so much!!

Shahid $91/hr

MSc - Manchester

I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.

I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.
What makes me a good tutor is my ability to break down a subject and cover it in a particular order so that a student who might not have a good understanding can understand how to progress through the topics. It doesn't hurt that I have a sense of humour and make my lessons actually fun and enjoyable.

Kate $40-50/hr

English Literature, Literature and Education - University of Cambridge

I am a professional tutor who graduated from Cambridge with a 1st class BA degree and an MPhil in Education and Literature - I have been tutoring ever since.

I tailor my tutoring to best fit my student's needs and learning style. With extensive experience ranging from primary to undergraduate students, I am confident tutoring for students of different ability and interest levels.

As a published academic writer with experience of private school and Oxbridge admissions processes, I am further confident tutoring to an extremely high level of tuition for a number of top-level schools and universities. Past students have gone on to study at Harrow, Eton, a number of London private schools and of course Oxford and Cambridge, among other universities.

My successes with students are not only due to my own expertise, however, but to my passion for inspiring a love of English in my students as well! During our time together my students not only come to feel more confident in the subject, but also to enjoy it!

Toby $50-60/hr

Mathematics - Imperial College

I cover all levels of Mathematics from primary school all the way to SATs, GMAT and degree level . I focus particularly on A level and GCSE teaching all relevant modules including Stats, Core and Mechanics. I have a proven track record coaching students for AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I am always patient and encouraging and know how to get the best out my students. I enjoy making tricky concepts easy to understand by using everyday examples. There is no substitute for practice and I will set numerous problems to be completed before the next lesson. This is the only way to be sure topics are sinking in. I always emphasise full understanding of problems not just simply learning methods.

I provide intensive exam preparation and my pupils have frequently achieved top grades. My students are normally referred to me from other satisfied pupils and I tend to get very busy. However I am taking on new students at the moment and do have some availability.
