I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.
I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.

I cover all levels of Mathematics from primary school all the way to SATs, GMAT and degree level . I focus particularly on A level and GCSE teaching all relevant modules including Stats, Core and Mechanics. I have a proven track record coaching students for AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I am always patient and encouraging and know how to get the best out my students. I enjoy making tricky concepts easy to understand by using everyday examples. There is no substitute for practice and I will set numerous problems to be completed before the next lesson. This is the only way to be sure topics are sinking in. I always emphasise full understanding of problems not just simply learning methods.
I provide intensive exam preparation and my pupils have frequently achieved top grades. My students are normally referred to me from other satisfied pupils and I tend to get very busy. However I am taking on new students at the moment and do have some availability.

I have taught A Level History for twelve years in a sixth form college and I have been tutoring online for two. I am dedicated to helping young people reach their potential and in 2018, my students averaged one grade higher than their predicted A Level grades. I have a great deal of experience in working one-to-one with students and I always aim to make my tutorials enjoyable and supportive, whilst encouraging great progress with both coursework and exam preparation. I have also assisted over a hundred students with their Oxbridge applications, and I work closely with university admission tutors. I am experienced in helping students prepare personal statements and applications, as well as in providing mock interviews and advice on admissions tests.
I've loved Classics since I was 10, when I wanted to become an actor or the world's greatest Classicist. I can't claim to be the world's greatest, but it was a dream to go to Oxford University and study for a Master's degree.
During my studies, I tutored undergraduate students in Latin, whilst also tutoring GCSE students in London. I have also worked with 4-18 year-olds in Hong Kong teaching history, English and Latin. Over the last few years I have had experience teaching in schools, summer camps, online and in person, as well as teaching both one on one and in large groups. I have worked with charities, schools and private organisations so have tutored for a mixture of different purposes including supporting applications to Oxbridge, developing confidence in a subject and improving grades.
