I have lots of tutoring experience online and in the classroom. I have delivered online courses as well as revision workshops in A-level economics and business. I have also worked with some undergraduate students, helping to prepare them for end of module exams. Tutoring online and in person is a good method of boosting performance on exams. Students benefit from the opportunity to review the content and deepen their understanding of the topic, this generally improves memory and as a result students always do better with tuition.

I have studied a BA in PPE, and also have an MA in Politics as well as an MSc in Economics. I have a knack for grinding down on complex problems until they look easy, and I love doing this with students and watching how things start to make sense to them. As regards language teaching: I am a German native speaker. What I think is even more important, though, is that I have learned several languages, both in school, but also since, in my free time (including French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian), so I am well aware of how students learn languages and which aspects may be less intuitive than others.
I passionately believe in students achieving their potential and enjoy the role of personal tutoring to further aid students learning. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Economics (2:1) and have worked for a number of large organisations offering a variety of depth and experience. Online tutoring is about helping students form around the world to access education via the platform of the internet, to help them succeed at their studies. Firstly, I like to make an initial meeting to understand the needs and objectives of the personal tutoring before developing a detailed plan of the outline of personal tutoring support. I am keen to ensure that both parents and students alike are happy with the service and will accommodate additional requests. I like to ensure that the learner is both enthused and engaged in the tutoring sessions and have a range of resources and assessment techniques.

I have already had multiple happy clients in previous tutoring roles, who helped to take that step up from B to A* or D to B. I undertook my teacher training (PGCE) at the UCL Institute of Education, the number 1 teacher training course in the world. I have worked throughout the East of England, in London, and at Abbey College International school in Cambridge. In addition, I am a current examiner for A level economics for a popular exam board. These experiences allow me to guarantee you an experience tailored to your needs. I use past paper training and exam technique to maximise your ability to perform under pressure.
I have over 130 hours experience tutoring online 1-1 sessions, with students ranging from GCSE to higher level undergraduate courses. I also developed my own course in economics to teach at the Oxbridge International Summer School in 2016. My teaching style places great emphasis on motivating the material so that the student can really engage. My passion for the subjects I teach means I can always provide an answer to the question 'why are we studying this?' I find the tutorial system at Oxford has been extremely beneficial for my learning and take pleasure in passing on those benefits to other students.
Having been tutored myself between the age of 10-11, and having tutored others over the last few years, I recognise the importance of a flexible and personal approach to the process of learning; what works for one does not work for all. I realise that students will want different things out of their lessons. For some it will be a rigorous application of the prescribed curriculum in preparation for a certain exam/set of exams, others may want to explore an area of interest more generally, as a supplement to their everyday schooling. I believe I am a tutor who can cater to both types of student.
My experience teaching students of all ages, of all backgrounds, from all parts of the world, affords me a firm basis for tutoring in my specified subject areas. Feedback I have received describes me as engaging, personable, yet demanding. From my own education I realise that we learn most efficiently when stretched, and this is the ethos I hope to instil in others; the ability to cope when made to think about topics in different ways, and being able to derive enjoyment from doing so.
I have recently completed my undergraduate studies at Oxford, and am currently enrolled on a post-graduate course. I am therefore very much still engaged with the process of learning. I can be flexible with my time, and am happy to discuss and talk through any sort of lesson plan or specific subject area (from those specified in my profile) you feel best suits your needs.
I have run a YouTube revision channel providing videos on a range of topics since 2013 which has received over 1.2 million views. I have also provided one-to-one tutoring to both GCSE and primary school pupils.
I am very academically capable, having gained a First Class degree (placing third in the year) in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford, 3 A*s in Economics, Maths and English at A-Level, an A in AS Further Maths and 10 A*s at GCSE.
I am a university lecturer with 10+ years of teaching and tutoring experience. I am patient and listen well to the needs of my students. My degree was in economics and I have great numerical skills.
I have tutored students towards university, GCSE and A-level graduation.
I have experience teaching over 60 students including A-level candidates and university undergraduates. I hold a First from the LSE in Economics and have been teaching for over two years.
Studying for your exams is hard work and stressful and I try to make the process a bit easier. My tutorials don’t just aim to teach economics but how to study efficiently and build exam technique.
Even for the best student, trying to guess what the examiner wants can be very hard. I use my years of experience studying and teaching economics and the hundreds of mock exam answers students have written for me to guide students towards the top grades.
I have extensive experience across a variety of A-level exam board including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and WJEC. I am also familiar with the Scottish Higher and Advanced Higher system and the IB.
Over the past two years, I have taught approximately 25 A-level students and aim to improve their grade by a minimum of two levels.
Here are the things I find students struggle with the most and how I help them improve:
Problem: Essay Questions (especially 25-mark questions)
Solution: proper essay planning, detailed feedback, timed practice
Solution: proper essay structure, signposting
Problem: Running out of time
Solution: Timed practice questions over and over again!
Problem: Multi-choice questions
Solution: Timed practice, process of elimination
I have direct experience with introductory and intermediate economics modules across most top UK universities.
In particular, I have experience teaching microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic history, statistics, mathematics and econometrics.
I can help with providing feedback and guidance on academic writing including summative essays and dissertations.
I have extensive knowledge of the following courses at LSE:
EC100, EC102, EC201, EC210, EC220, EC311
EH101, EH207, EH237, EH240, EH304

I have taught a broad range of subjects in the UK and internationally periodically over the last 20 years.
I thoroughly prepare each lesson to meet the student's specific needs. I have taught A*- and E-grade students and, whatever the student's academic history, I bring clarity and order to complicated concepts, enabling them to acquire the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
I am extremely adaptable, and have taught mathematics, economics, politics, philosophy, business studies, history, close reading, literary analysis, and exam/essay technique, as well as devising and teaching a beginners’ business Russian course. I have significant TEFL experience, including at the Oxford English Centre.
