He desperately wants to enter Sixth Form but his GCSE mock results are not at the required standard for Sixth form entry. He requires 5 GCSE grades between 4 & 9 and three GCSEs at grade 6 in subject which he would like to study at A level. He reached the required standard for Art and DT, but only achieved a 3 in History. We feel that if he could turn the 3 that he received in History into a 6 in the actual History GCSE exam he would be accepted into Sixth form. As long as he can also achieve a grade 4 in Mathematics and English!
Any advice and assistance as to which subjects that you feel would be the best to be tutored in would be greatly appreciated.

I have a broad range of experience in teaching English, Chinese and Spanish speaking students between the ages 4-18 (in language learning, culture and history), so I have good communication skills for diverse age groups and backgrounds. I have been in the English, Chinese and Mexican schooling systems and so adapt well to different learning styles.
My degree at Oxford was in History so I spent a lot of time in the one-on-one tutorials, and so also understand the tutee experience. I am organised and work hard on making my teaching fun and dynamic so that classes are as productive and enjoyable as possible! The relationship between students and tutor is really important for me.

I have been tutoring since 2014. I worked as a tutor throughout my time as an undergraduate at the University of Oxford and graduate at the University of Cambridge. Every pupil has different requirements, and I always tailor my lessons and approach accordingly in order to help them develop academically, and hopefully enjoy this process.

I've worked successfully as a tutor for GCSE and A-Level students for a number of years now, helping them drastically improve their grades.
