Louisa $55-65/hr

Qualified Teacher of Science - Experienced GCSE and A Level Science Tutor

I have been a private tutor for over 6 years and hold Qualified Teacher Status with experience teaching in schools in Suffolk and Devon. I was graded 'Outstanding' for my Teacher Training and also have experience working in industrial and research laboratories.

I am experienced in tutoring and teaching GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics tuition and A level Biology and Chemistry. I really like to break-down the difficult topics and train you how to give examiners what they want in your answers. I have worked with a wide range of students of all ages and abilities and the wonderful thing about tutoring is I can adapt it exactly to your specific needs. Having also worked as an exam assessor I know exactly the standard and requirements required to gain the marks!

I LOVE my subject and love discussion in order to further understanding. I think part of my success as a teacher is my enthusiasm and need to have fun. I try to remind my students exactly how exciting science actually is outside of textbooks.

Louisa's last completed GCSE Physics job with Alicja: 1-2 hrs/week - I am looking for physic teacher for my daughter. She has problem with all topics for GCSE exams.

Kathrine $40-50/hr

Animal Science and English Literature - Canterbury Christ Church

I have been tutoring online and 1-1 for 3 years now. I offer a range of styles in my teaching that allows the student to get involved with the lesson. This may include: labeling diagrams, creating a flow chart, completing a graph, correcting mistakes in a method e.t.c.

I have recently become an online tutor full time. This is giving me more time to make outstanding lessons for my 1-1 students. I can spend more time making sure that each student is getting the best education possible and be able to achieve grades they could not manage in a school environment.

Closer to exams, I show students how to answer exam questions. I am an examiner at AQA so I understand what the examiners are looking for and can help students with exam techniques.

Kathrine 's last completed GCSE Physics job with Haniah: 1-2 hrs/week - I am struggling with physics, and would like help as soon as possible. I’m in year 10 and I am aiming for a 7-9 in gcse

Andy $45-55/hr

Physics Degree - Exeter University / Oxford University

I have extensive experience as a private tutor, as a classroom teacher and as an online tutor. I have worked in schools in the UK, in Europe, the Americas and Asia. I have been employed as a live in tutor by one of the most prestigious private tutoring agencies and I have worked for many years as an online tutor. I have a proven track record of improving students knowledge, understanding and exam results. I have extensive experience with students working in English as a foreign language as well as native language English speakers.

I have taught GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma. I have also taught the Swedish National Maths Syllabus and prepared students for 11+, 13+ and Key Stage 2 examinations.

Andy's last completed GCSE Physics job with Sam: 1-2 hrs/week - My son is away at boarding school, he came home for the holidays and is currently revising for GCSE mock exams which he will sit at the end of January.
He is struggling to study by himself and needs some guidance in how to study effectively.
He is in a high performance athlete programme at school where he trains hard and has achieved great success in his sport. His school report indicates that he is working hard in school, but his hard work is not being reflected in his grades.
During the break we have worked with him and he has made progress. We feel that with additional support from a tutor to consolidate knowledge and help with exam technique, will not only boost his confidence, but his grades too.

Alex $40-50/hr

Materials - University of Oxford

During my undergraduate degree, I tutored students in lower years and ran a series of departmental seminars to encourage learning "beyond the textbook." I think it's important to help students make links not just between the subjects they study, but to real-world applications - a component sometimes missing in the high-pressure, rapid-paced school environment. Most crucially, I remember how stressful preparation for GCSEs and A-levels can be- and the tips and tricks students can employ to not only do well in the exam, but to really understand the material.

I am confident working with students of all abilities, particularly those who are motivated but lack confidence in their ability to tackle mathematics and the physical sciences. I am also interested in tutoring students who could benefit from a little extra support with their studies, as well as those who are seeking to be challenged beyond the school curriculum.

Alex's last completed GCSE Physics job with Frederique: 1-2_HOURS - My son Willem, Y9, needs some help on that subject to get a little higher grades. The idea would be for him to commit 1 hour per week and it can happen on Sundays between 2 & 4pm (we need to leave at 4pm), Fridays between 5pm & 6:30pm, Thursdays at 5:30pm. I may be able to offer more availabilities but I need to check with him.
