About Me
As a former Head of Year and Head of Sixth Form I understand how stressful GCSE and A levels are, therefore, it is crucial to understand each students’ individual needs and ensure that every lesson is individually tailored specifically to them. I can quickly identify gaps in subject knowledge and focus my lessons on this as well as consolidating exam technique.
I am a passionate historian. I enjoy travel and visiting historical sites. I have especially enjoyed taking my classes on study trips abroad to Amsterdam, Berlin and Krakow where students can really see history come alive.
Tutor Experience
I am a fully qualified History teacher (BA (2-1) in History and a PGCE in Secondary education) I also have 19 years of experience as an examiner for GCSE and A level History for AQA and Edexcel.
I have taught History for 24 years (21 years in school and 5 years online) at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level. I am passionate about my subject, and I love to see my students' grow in confidence and develop their understanding and enthusiasm. I am delighted to say that my students have 100% pass rate at GCSE and A level, achieving top grades and often surpassing their target grades.
