About Me
I work for a UK-based home-schooling platform as a remote Physics teacher. I teach students from around the world, who come from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The medium of instruction is English. But naturally, not all students are equal when it comes to language skills. So, my challenge here is to make myself understood to students who are sitting in virtual classrooms in different parts of the world.
I believe as a teacher my job is to develop a one-on-one connection with students. In the virtual, remote environment it can be achieved with utmost care and attention. My experience as a remote teacher helped me realize the importance of personalized pedagogy and that no matter where you are from the teacher-student relationship is the same world over.
Tutor Experience
Since 2016, I've been actively engaged in instructing A-Level/IGCSE and IB Physics to students in international school settings. In parallel, I've dedicated 3 years to online tutoring through esteemed platforms such as Spires. My background as a content writer equips me with an understanding of exam frameworks, question statistics, and common student misconceptions.
Topic Expertise
I am a Physics Resource author at TES.com. My exclusive classroom materials have been downloaded more than 11000 times by I.B, IGCSE, and ‘A’ level teachers from 40 countries across the world, but mainly in the UK. They have extensively used my notes in their classroom lessons and revision drills.
I co-authored Physics textbooks for grades 9-10 & 11-12 for international schools working in Post-Taliban Afghanistan. The project was assigned by a Turkey-based publication. The curriculum is aimed at schools with English as their medium of instruction. I was chosen as an author because of my extensive experience in teaching and developing, materials for I.B, IGCSE & A-level Curriculums.
I am a quiz/question designer at Revision Village - arguably the most sought- website for I.B students looking for revision materials. I create authentic exam-like questions and mock exams that help students revise various topics in Physics. I make sure the difficulty level of questions is at par with what is expected in the exam. Students from all around the world practice on the questions I design and prepare for the I.B mocks.
