About Me

I am an Associate Lecturer in English Literarure at Tübingen University, Germany. I have a PhD in English Literature from UCL, an MA (Distinction) in Issues in Modern Culture from UCL and a BA (1st Class) in English Literature also from UCL. I also have an MA (Distinction) from LAMDA in Directing Theatre and Film.

My specialism is nineteenth and twentieth century English literature, but I teach courses on Romanticism, Shakespeare and the Restoration period. I also have an interest in critical theory, twentieth century British history and cultural studies.

My first book publication will be published with Palgrave Macmillan in 2020, and I have peer review articles publushed in Twentieth Century Literature and elsewhere. I also write arts journalism - and have published book reviews in the Times Literary Supplement, Literary Review and the LA Review of Books.

Tutor Experience

As an Associate Lecturer in English Literarure at Tübingen University, Germany I have designed and taught courses on Working Class British Fiction; Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Migration Literature; Twentieth Century American Poetry; Romantic Poetry; Post-War British Drama; Shakespeare.

I have also led seminars and tutored at UCL, and have been a private tutor since 2015.
