About Me

I graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge in June 2015. I graduated as a Senior Exhibitioner with a BA (Hons) in Politics, Sociology & Psychology, class 2.1 (upper). I also received the Rowley Mainhood Award upon graduation, and was named as one of the '16 Most Impressive Cambridge Students' by Business Insider. During my time at University, I immersed myself in extra-curriculars and had a great time: I founded a student mental health society, I rowed competitively for my college, I trained with the DanceSport team, I organised the biggest mental health conference ever to be held at Cambridge, I worked as a press officer at the Cambridge Union, I wrote for the student newspapers & presented for student TV, I helped with Emmanuel College access visits, and much much more... From interviewing all the party political leaders for Cosmopolitan magazine, to being a professional Bollywood dancer, to being nationally commended as a mental health hero... My CV makes for an interesting & bizarre read!

Tutor Experience

Hi, my name is Amber... I am a chatty, enthusiastic, and very approachable Cambridge politics graduate - and I am here to help you! So if you would like me to mark your work, give you feedback, have a lively discussion, or challenge you to think in a different way - I will do whatever suits you!

I taught at Summer Camps in Hong Kong on the prestigious 'Oxbridge Summer Camps Abroad' programme in 2013, which culminated in an academy for University applicant students - I coached students who wanted to apply to top level universities for social sciences, held mock interviews, and lectured informally in my subject.

From teaching at summer camps in Hong Kong, and informally tutoring and mentoring students in the year below me at Cambridge, I understand how to adapt to different learning styles.

Equally, being a graduate just last year, I understand well the stress of revising for exams - and can also help you structure your revision, regulate your stress a little, and make headway where you are having trouble.

Get in touch and I look forward to working with you!
