My areas of interest in biology are metabolism, evolutionary theory, molecular conservation, plant sciences, and microbiology. When I am not in the library I enjoy birdwatching, gardening, and rowing. I live in Brighton and I enjoy spending my weekends walking the South Downs or in Wakehurst Gardens. My family live in Brittany, France and I spend my holidays fishing at sea and eating crepes!
I trained as an NCO in the air cadets, I taught cadets for 2 years in Croydon. I frequently help out at access events both at 6th form and Oxford University and I am always keen for students to apply themselves in thinking scientifically about the world. I have experience in 'experimental teaching' as this is one of my tutors areas of research.
