I completed my Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering (Ceramics option) at the University of Ghana. Following this, I have completed a Master of Research in Molecular Modelling & Materials Science at the University College London and a Master of Philosophy in Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School. And lastly, I completed a doctorate in Materials Engineering (Solid Mechanics) at Imperial College London where I was awarded the Matthey Prize for best thesis in Metals. I worked as a Senior Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol and have published over 10 academic journal papers.

My name is Tomi and I have a PhD in Materials Engineering (Solid Mechanics) from Imperial College London. My educational background enables me break down complex scientific problems into simple and understandable solutions. I remember the stress and pressures that accompanies any assessment or exam, however, I am willing to share tips that helped me successfully navigate the academic world. Therefore, I strive to ensure that my students feel comfortable and confident enough to tackle any problem without panic.
I have many years of experience tutoring undergraduate and masters students during my doctoral studies and subsequent work as a Senior Research Associate in Mechanical Engineering. I have tutored coding in Matlab and Fortran, and other modules in general engineering. I have also published over 10 academic manuscripts which makes me suitable to provide guidance on both academic and non-academic writing.
