About Me
I live in Spain and enjoy the sunshine. I work here teaching elite sports students iGCSE and A Levels to help them achieve scholarships to the USA. I specialise in teaching essay writing and applying knowledge in order to maximise exam results.
Tutor Experience
My speciality is teaching GCSE/iGCSE for Edexcel English Language and Literature. During my teaching career I have worked as a Head of Department and a Head of Year.
I also work for at least one exam board every year to mark English Language and English Literature iGCSE and GCSE. I believe that learning how the exams are marked is an important element in helping students achieve high grades as it is essential to understand how the mark scheme is being applied.
I like all my students to achieve the best results they can as I believe English is an important subject to do well in as being able to write essays and interrogate texts are transferable life skills. I adapt myself to each student to try and maximise their potential. My greatest joy is when one of my students moves from finding the subject tricky to being confident and able to tackle the exam.
