I have over 7 years tutoring experience, working in the UK, France and China.

I have worked with a wide range of ages (5-19), both in person and online, tutoring academic subjects, entrance exam preparation and learning and exam methodology. Most recently, I have been tutoring UK curriculum English and English as a foreign language to native Chinese students and preparing them for entry to UK schools - with successful entry to schools such as St James Prep School and the Cheltenham Ladies' College.

I also have considerable experience tutoring English Literature and French GCSE and A-Level, helping students understand how to analyse texts and structure essays, assisting students with personal statements, and proof-reading and editing undergraduate and postgraduate essays. Additionally, I have tutored students with learning difficulties, including ADD and clinical anxiety.

I strive to establish a strong rapport with the student, recognizing and subsequently tackling challenges that arise, tailoring my approach to their interests and personality, and above all, inspiring a confident attitude towards study through clear, positive communication.

I have excellent command of the English language and knowledge of writing techniques, literary analysis and grammar. During my degree at UCL, my essays, written in both English and French on a wide variety of European literary and cultural topics, consistently achieved first class grades.

I speak fluent French and Polish, and intermediate level Mandarin. I recognise the difficulties that come with language learning, and how quite often understanding culture can act as an entry point into the language and literature.
