In my spare time I enjoy reading across a range of genres (Gothic Victorian being a particular favourite), baking and going for long walks in one of Cardiff's many beautiful parks. I also love travelling and learning about new cultures, as well as volunteering in the local community.
I am extremely academic and have strong subject knowledge, possessing A*A*A A-Levels in English Language and Literature, Religious Studies and Sociology. I also graduated with a BA in English Literature and then completed a PGCE, graduating with a distinction. Having a PGCE and teaching GCSE and A Level means that I have a lot of experience working with students directly, as well as the WJEC English courses in Wales. I also have years of tutoring experience, as I was a private tutor during my time at university. Furthermore, I am genuinely passionate in regards to helping students reach their full potential, regardless of their background or level. I have taught in both state school and college and I use student-centred teaching methods. I also have experience of setting up and running an evening tutoring club in Grangetown and Butetown, providing a free service for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. My experience and knowledge in my subject areas, the curriculum, WJEC specification and pedagogy allow me to provide an excellent tutoring service.
