Emma has travelled widely throughout her teaching career, living and working in the UK, Australia, Malaysia, Czech Republic, and Indonesia. She is currently based in Indonesia where she is fulfilling her ambition to co-found an education start-up. Her personal learning challenge this year is to become a competent speaker of Bahasa Indonesia.
Emma is a PGCE Secondary English qualified teacher with 8 years of full-time teaching experience in UK and international schools. She has held middle-management positions in schools in the Czech Republic and Malaysia. Emma has delivered a range of exam courses, including GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, and the IBDP.
Emma uses a variety of assessment for learning techniques and revision strategies to enable students to excel in their English exams. She enjoys the challenge of making English accessible, relevant and engaging, as well as the sense of reward when her students make progress.
