I have worked in the UK FE sector since my Masters graduation in 2007 and have risen to be a faculty manager for A-levels at an FE college. My strength is my flexibility in both subject matter and the types of students I have worked with. My academic passions lie across disciplines and this informs my belief that it is erudition that leads to the greatest success for students. Studying subjects in isolation is importan However, the

I have taught the following history topics at A-level (AQA), Access (OCNSWR and CAVA) and FdA (Plymouth):

American Civil Rights 1940 - 1969
The Plantagenent Kings of England
The American Revolution 1760 -1793

In politics I am experienced in delivering the new AQA A-level and have taught all three modules:
The government and politics of the UK
Comparative politics (specialising in US)
Politival ideologies (Socialism, Liberalism, Conservatism and Nationalism)
I have also taught GCSE maths (Edexcel/Pearson) to students who were resitting in order to achieve a 4 or 5 so am experienced in working with learners who lack confidence and are struggling to make the pass grade.
