I grown up in a little town near Rome. My passion for teaching begun when I started giving maths classes to support myself whilst studying. Since then, I have continued to develop my teaching skills to make it easier and more efficient for my students to learn.
I studied Bachelor and Master Degree in pure and applied mathematics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. After that I got a Master Degree in Space Science and Technology.
By 2018 I was working as software developer for a company in Rome, but my passion is teaching and scientific research, so last year, I applied for a PhD position in University College London. Luckily I won an award as a PhD student in biomedical engineering field and now I live in London, doing research and teaching.
My name is Andrea, I am 34 years old matematician. I have more than 15 years teaching mathematics at all levels.
In my view, the most important attributes of a good teacher are patience and empathy! The student needs to feel at ease and learn in a friendly environment. Student must feel comfortable, asking the same question several times if the previous were not clear to them.
During the class I write on a Wacom tablet, using several colours and highlighters, the lesson is funny and easy, texts and formulas without erasures.
I teach mostly to University students. I teach several subjects including Calculus, Mathematical analysis, Statistics, Probability, Matlab, R, Linear Algebra, Fourier analysis, Geometry.
Andrea was very helpful and very clear with all explanations. I couldn't recommend him enough! If anyone needs help in Matlab, please go to him!!!!!
