Hello! I am an experienced teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. I love teaching and have taught a range of ages and levels. I am passionate about making learning accessible and enjoyable.
I have previously lived in France and am now based in London where I am a secondary school languages teacher. Before becoming a teacher, I worked at an international charity focused on cross-border child protection. I have also worked freelance for ed-tech companies, developing their provision for language learning (French, Spanish, English as an additional language).
Since teaching in secondary schools, I have enjoyed seeing my students grow in confidence! I have held a number of roles in school, most recently as Head of French and Deputy Head of Languages in a large department. I enjoy running revision sessions for GCSE and A level students to give them the extra boost they need to feel secure going into exams.
I understand how difficult language learning can be so I have a range of strategies that really help students learn vocabulary and tenses so that they can feel confident in school.
Please contact me to discuss what you are looking for, I look forward to speaking with you soon.
I am a graduate from Oxford University and a qualified teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have extensive experience teaching French, English as an additional language, Extended Project Qualification, preparation for 11+ verbal and non-verbal exams, preparation for SATS exams, preparation for UCAS/university interviews.
My teaching experience:
I have over 10 years experience tutoring children and adults in 1:1 sessions. Since gaining a PGCE (teaching qualification) as a languages teacher, I have taught French and Spanish in secondary schools in London to students in Year 7 to 13. I am experienced teaching students with SEN and have a range of strategies that can help students gain in confidence.
During this time, I have also mentored students through the Extended Project Qualification and university admissions process including for Oxbridge.
French tutoring:
- I have a thorough knowledge of the GCSE and A level exam syllabus for both AQA and Edexcel and would be able to give your child confidence when preparing for their exams.
- I generally aim to cover listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar in tutoring sessions however if required, lessons can focus on specific skills such as conversational French.
- I teach French to people of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced students aiming for fluency. I am a supportive and encouraging tutor who will help you enjoy French and make your learning fun!
