About Me
I am a bilingual history teacher and IB History specialist based in Mexico City, with extensive experience teaching secondary-school students in international and academically rigorous programs. I currently teach IB History and AP European and World History, and I have also served as an IB examiner, giving me a detailed understanding of the assessment criteria and the skills students need to succeed.
What I enjoy most about teaching history is helping students ask better questions. Through discussion, debate, close analysis of historical sources, and the comparison of different interpretations, I encourage students to become more confident and independent thinkers.
My lessons are engaging, structured, and adapted to the individual student. Some students need a clear explanation of the essential content, while others need help organising their ideas or applying the assessment criteria more effectively. I try to identify the precise obstacle that is preventing progress and then provide practical strategies to overcome it.
I also believe that students learn best when they understand the purpose behind what they are doing. Rather than encouraging rote memorization, I help students connect historical knowledge to larger arguments and use evidence meaningfully. My aim is for students to leave each lesson with stronger skills and more confidence in their ability to succeed.
Tutor Experience
I have extensive experience teaching history in academically rigorous international-school settings. I currently teach IB History, AP European History, and AP World History. Alongside classroom teaching, I contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design, moderation, professional development, and collaborative teacher training.

My goal is to develop confident, independent thinkers who can use historical knowledge purposefully rather than rely on memorization.
