I graduated from Glasgow University in 2016, going on to work as a small animal vet and continue to do so part time. I enjoy the interactions I have with clients and working within a dynamic team. I have a particular interest in cardiology, which led me to complete my Masters degree in (human) cardiovascular sciences whilst continuing to work part time. I am nearing the end of a post-graduate certificate now in Veterinary Cardiology. I continue to live and work in Scotland, and enjoy sports (both indoor and outdoor) as a release from my academic and professional activities! My golden retriever and two rescue cats also help on that front.
I have tutored students at Higher and Advanced Higher levels in Biology, but I also routinely teach undergraduate vet students whilst on their placements and final year rotations, as well as post-graduates when it comes to veterinary cardiology. I find physiology and pathophysiology particularly fascinating which I’m told comes across in my enthusiastic teaching style.
Small animal medicine, with a particular strength in cardiology, is my general area of expertise. As a whole, however, anything biology related is likely to be within my remit of training and academic understanding and thus feasible to tutor on.
