My focus is on undergraduate students and serious exam candidates — people who need more than a textbook explanation. They need someone who understands the material at research level, knows exactly how it is examined, and can translate both into clear, targeted instruction.
I specialise in supporting students navigating British qualifications and university pathways. Whether you are preparing for A-Level or GCSE exams, working through IB coursework, or tackling undergraduate Mathematics and Physics at a British university, I bring both deep subject mastery and intimate knowledge of how British curricula and assessments work.
I have been tutoring online for over twenty years, adapting continuously as technology and pedagogy have evolved. I work with Zoom, digital tablets, simulations, video resources, and AI tools — always choosing what best serves the student in front of me. My experience spans students across the globe, many of whom are enrolled in British schools or universities, and I am comfortable working across time zones.
What distinguishes my sessions is precision. I do not teach to the average student. I begin with a diagnostic assessment to identify exactly where a student's understanding breaks down, then build a structured plan to address those gaps systematically. Every session has a clear objective. Progress is measurable. Nothing is left to chance.
For students with specific learning differences — dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions — I adapt my approach to ensure that the rigour of the material is never compromised, but the pathway to understanding is tailored to how you learn best.
I have spent over forty years — and more than 30,000 hours — teaching Mathematics and Physics across every level of education, from secondary school through to doctoral programmes. This depth of experience represents thousands of diagnostic conversations, tailored lesson plans, and a continuously refined understanding of how students learn under pressure.
My academic foundation is rigorous: a Master of Science Teaching in Physics and a degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (USP) — consistently ranked among the top universities in Latin America — with extensive professional development aligned to British educational standards.
I specialise in supporting students across British educational pathways. I have taught and tutored at multiple British universities, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students through university-level Mathematics and Physics coursework, problem sets, and examination preparation. My expertise spans:
GCSE & A-Level: comprehensive preparation with deep familiarity of exam board specifications (Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge)
International Baccalaureate (IB): Standard and Higher Level Mathematics and Physics, including Extended Essay and internal assessments
Cambridge International (IGCSE & A-Level): extensive tutoring experience with Cambridge's curriculum and assessment frameworks
University entrance preparation: proven track record supporting students applying to Russell Group universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Edinburgh, and others), including university-specific entrance exams and interviews
I have taught at university level at Anhembi Morumbi University and Oswaldo Cruz Colleges, covering Physics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Mechanics of Materials, and Advanced Mathematics for Engineering, Economics, and Accounting programmes.
At high school, I held teaching and coordination roles at São Paulo's most respected schools — Colégio Rio Branco, Colégio Dante Alighieri, Colégio Albert Sabin, and Colégio Stella Maris — many following British or internationally aligned curricula, serving at times as Head of the Physics Department.
I teach across the full spectrum of British and international curricula, from GCSE through postgraduate level, with over 30,000 hours of tutoring experience across multiple educational systems.

Extremely helpful. Good explanations
Throughout my classes the lessons have always been excellent. I could have a fun conversation while learning problems. I am thankful for everything José has done!
Jose is a good teacher
So So helpful and patient. Amazing at explaining
Hard to understand and doesn't explain properly.
It was good my son understood, he felt comfortable and confident. Thank you profesor.
Very good teacher, patient and good at explaining fluid mechanics
The class was good regardless of technical issues that are not the tutor´s fault
An excellent class! José explains really well, so instead of just memorising tons of formulas he explains in a way that makes students understand the theory. And most importantly he makes maths interesting and engaging which is crucial. some of my classmates who have the attitude of do the bare minimum and get out are actually working and trying in maths now.He also lets people work at their own pace and makes sure people who are ahead don't have to stay sow down to fit the pace of the rest of he class. He sets homework , a reasonable amount if needed so students can actually practise the theory explained outside of the questions done in class, so the theory is better remembered. One of his abilities is to make everyone do the homework assigned. Some of my classmates who couldn't be bothered to do a 10m homework over the weekend , took time after school to do his 5 page homework over the week as they were actually interested.
José Eduardo has been a great help in explaining physics. He is very patient and explains things in a way that makes the topics seem less overwhelming. I am very happy to be working with him.
Having Mathematics classes with Eduardo truly changed my life. I used to struggle with Mathematics since I was in primary school and believed I would never be able to understand it. However, Eduardo's patience and teaching methods helped me discover how to learn effectively. I gained confidence, and today, my grades in the IB program are excellent.

Professor Eduardo has fantastic experience and knowledge. I started Engineering without knowing anything about Math and Physics. I was able to learn these subjects and others (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Mecanics, Analitical Geometry, and Mechanics of Materials, within the engineering curriculum thanks to his unique methodology. I highly recommend him.

Eduardo was able to help me understand all the content of the GCSE Physics course quickly. He is patient and attentive. It was worth it.

Watching Justine struggle with maths was heartbreaking. The tailored strategies—breaking tasks into small steps, using visual aids, and giving her clear goals—made all the difference. She went from a D to a B in six months, but more importantly, she's happier and believes in herself again."

Even though I was studying hard, I was stuck at a C in Physics. With weekly lessons focused on how to approach problems and handle exam questions, I was able to jump to an A in just two months. The transformation was remarkable."
