I’m Dr Stacey Hunter, a PhD-qualified psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). I taught undergraduate and postgraduate psychology at Bangor University, where I organised an MSc Positive Behaviour Support module, supervised research projects and gave students feedback on their work.
I tutor psychology, research methods, applied behaviour analysis and Positive Behaviour Support. Whether you’re working through a difficult concept, planning a dissertation or trying to make sense of research findings, I’ll break the task into manageable steps and adapt each session to what you need.
Alongside teaching, I’ve worked in NHS services and schools, so I can bring practical examples into our discussions. My aim is to help you understand the material, develop your own ideas and feel more confident working independently.
I taught undergraduate and postgraduate psychology at Bangor University from 2012 to 2021, including lectures, tutorials and individual research supervision. As organiser of an MSc Positive Behaviour Support module, I planned teaching, supported students through Blackboard, and assessed work with constructive feedback. I also supervised MSc research projects in applied behaviour analysis and behaviour change.
Outside university, I train and supervise professionals working in NHS, school and care settings. I regularly explain complex concepts through practical examples and adapt my approach to each learner’s experience and goals.
I can support students with psychology research methods, developing research questions, planning dissertations, interpreting research and presenting findings. My specialist areas are applied behaviour analysis, Positive Behaviour Support, educational psychology, behaviour change, skill acquisition, autism and developmental disabilities. I can also help students connect psychological theory with its use in schools, healthcare and other professional settings.
