About Me
I have over 12 years experience as a qualified teacher and have held deputy head and head posts. My lessons are fun and effective and I have experience working with children with SEMH and SEN. I teach reading, writing and maths and can support children who are struggling, those who need suupport with exam preparation or those who are working at a greater depth in a particular area who need additional challenge.
Tutor Experience
Every child is different and my approach to tutoring is to offer clear concise lessons that target gaps in a child's skills or knowledge.
I provide clear verbal and visual aids - which is essential when tutoring online - and the children I work with enjoy their learning and make good progress. I tailor my lessons to suit the learning style of the child and am experienced working with children who have special education needs (SEN).
I have taught music for over thirty years offering individual, small group and whole class lessons in woodwind, percussion and vocal. Currently, I offer piano, flute and theory online.
