PERSONAL APPROACH
I like to create a comfortable environment where students can feel free to ask questions, without being afraid of saying "I don't understand".
I help students find their own study and note-taking methods, using sample checklists, cheat sheets and deductive reasoning tips and tricks.
I always differentiate based on the type of learner I have in front of me, for example choosing between a focus on deductive skills rather than memorization (or vice versa), depending on the student's strengths. Every learner is different and we, as educators, should always take this factor into account.

PROGRESS TRACKING
I provide notes and a summary of each tutoring session (both for parents and students) within 24 hours.
I use the collected notes to identify recurring weaknesses and provide even more personalized sessions accordingly.

LABORATORY WORK
For laboratory work (including Extended Essays and the Internal Assessments), I bring all the experience I have from my years as a scientist to build a meaningful plan that allows the students to:
- fully understand data analysis and processing, enough to transfer this knowledge to other subjects and higher levels of education;
- build experiments in a meaningful scientific way;
- write state-of-the-art essays and reports, close to scientific papers standards (especially useful for students who want to continue their education in STEM subjects).

LESSON STRUCTURE
- First 5 minutes: a brief introduction (if first time) or a quick chat about the previous week(s) (e.g. chemistry lessons at school, tests, in general anything that could be relevant for the tutoring session);
- 45-50 minutes: main activity, specifics (e.g. exercise drills if exam prep, revision of concepts if at the end of a topic, etc.)
- Last 5 minutes: recap of the session and setting up expectations for the next one (e.g. what to revise, eventual exercises to do, schedule, etc.).
