I'm a life-long amateur philosopher and professional educator. I love asking big questions about reality, morality, existence and life. I enjoy ideas and concepts, discussions and debates, and I am always keen to explore new and different points of view. Religious Studies and Philosophy recognise these interests, and it is important to keep this in mind when doing the hard work of exam preparation: big questions matter, not just for qualifications, but for life in the world beyond school.
Over two decades in secondary schools I have also been involved in teacher training and academic research. I have been an examiner, and I have taught A Level Philosophy (AQA), A Level Religious Studies (various boards) and GCSE Religious Studies (again, various boards). Over the years many of my students have gone on to study Religious Studies, Philosophy or Theology at university.
