If I'm not physics-ing, you're likely to find me playing or recording some music! I'm in a pop folk duo with my girlfriend, and also play Irish music in the shape of the fiddle and banjo. When I get the chance, I love to do science outreach. I won the Swiss FameLab competition in 2013 for my three minute presentation on the Standard Model of particle physics using Play-Doh.
I am highly personable and pride myself on being able to explain complex ideas with clarity and a sense of fun. I have experience of tutoring at A Level, and have also been extensively involved in undergraduate labs. I have been involved in a number of outreach activities and masterclass events during my time as a PhD student, and will soon begin physics tuition as part of my role as a postdoctoral researcher.
