About Me

I am a PhD physicist and Physics teacher trained at the University of Manchester (PGCE, QTS), with over 20 years of teaching and mentoring experience across schools and universities in several countries. In addition, my research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals.

I'm passionate about making Physics and Mathematics accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for students of all abilities — helping them build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve their academic goals, whether preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, or university.

Outside teaching, I'm a registered STEM Ambassador and enjoy exploring how artificial intelligence can enhance education. I aim to create a positive, supportive environment where every student can thrive.

Tutor Experience

I have over 20 years of teaching and mentoring experience in Physics and Mathematics across secondary schools, universities, and one-to-one tutoring. I hold a PhD in Theoretical Physics and am completing a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Physics with Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate Physics at university level, supervised student projects, and provided private tutoring and academic support to students improving their understanding, confidence, and examination performance.

During my UK teacher training, I taught Physics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-level Physics in a sixth-form college — planning and delivering lessons, practical activities, revision sessions, and assessments aligned with the UK curriculum.

My teaching approach is student-centred, building deep conceptual understanding through clear explanations, worked examples, regular questioning, and exam-focused practice, adapted to each student's needs.

Topic Expertise

I specialise in Physics from GCSE through to university level, and GCSE and A-level Mathematics. I cover all core areas of Physics, including mechanics, electricity, waves, thermal physics, particle physics, quantum physics, electromagnetism, fields, nuclear physics, and astrophysics, across AQA, Edexcel, and OCR specifications — with targeted support in revision, past-paper practice, exam technique, and problem-solving strategies.

For Mathematics, I teach GCSE ( within Edexcel specification) topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and problem solving, adapting to each student's curriculum and learning needs.
